Edith Ratzlaff

Edith Ratzlaff was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. After taking art and photography courses throughout high school, she quickly focused on pursuing her artistic passions outside the academic world and into the freelancing one. She graduated from the Photojournalism Major with honours from SAIT Polytechnic as part of the Journalism Program.

Following graduation, she began working as a photo studio coordinator at the Forzani Group, but has since been taken on as a Full-time Photographer for TC Media in correlation with FGL Sports focusing on e-commerce content for Sportchek. With an equally weighted passion for music and capturing great moments, she loves incorporating candid scenes through edgy, high-contrast and eye-catching photographs. She has been able to work with multiple Calgary-based bands with promotional material, and numerous large-scale Canadian bands with live shots. Edith enjoys taking portraits of people, animals and objects, and successfully transforms them into a bold style all her own.
